Senegal’s “Fonds d’Appui à l’Investissement des Sénégalais de l’Étranger” (FAISE) recently held a funding ceremony on January 22, 2024 for their beneficiaries from the Senegalese community abroad. The event was attended by Mrs. Annette SECK NDIAYE, Minister for Senegalese Abroad, and Amadou François GAYE, Director General of Support for Senegalese Abroad.
During her opening speech, FAISE Administrator Sokhna Nata SAMB MBACKÉ reflected on the success of the FAISE under the leadership of President Macky SALL, comparing it to its establishment in 2008. She also reminded the recipients of the revolving nature of the funds and encouraged them to make good use of the opportunity and repay the credit in a timely manner. “By repaying the funds received today, you will allow other Senegalese citizens to benefit from them,” she emphasized.
Since its creation in 2008, FAISE has been dedicated to supporting and guiding our fellow citizens in the Diaspora who are eager to invest in their homeland. Through the Senegalese de l’Extérieur Financing (FSE) and Women of the Diaspora Financing (FFD) programs, FAISE remains an essential force for the advancement of our Diaspora community.
This funding ceremony highlights the ongoing commitment of the FAISE to promote economic growth and increase opportunities for our compatriots living abroad. By providing support and guidance, FAISE is playing a crucial role in the development of our Diaspora community and contributing to the overall progress of Senegal.
