President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko have undertaken a sweeping overhaul across several pivotal institutions in Senegal. The extensive reshuffle includes changes at the national broadcaster RTS, Dakar Port, APIX, the Post Office, Blaise Diagne International Airport, and the Sanitation Office.

Noteworthy among the changes is the removal of prominent figures involved in alleged conspiracies and mismanagement. Mamadou Mamour Diallo, implicated in the Aji Sarr conspiracy, has been dismissed from ONAS, alongside Abdoulaye Baldé from APIX, Lieutenant General Moussa Fall from his military position, and Racine Talla from RTS. Meanwhile, Cheikh Bamba Dièye has been appointed to lead Blaise Diagne Airport, and journalist Pape Alé Niang takes the helm at RTS.

These changes were announced during a cabinet meeting presided over by President Faye on Wednesday. Below is a summary of the key appointments and dismissals:

  • Bacary Sega Bathily – Director General of APIX.
  • Pape Alé Niang – Director General of RTS.
  • Waly Diouf Bodiang – Director General of Dakar Port.
  • Cheikh Mamadou Abiboulaye Dièye – Director General of Blaise Diagne International Airport.
  • Fadilou Keita – Director General of Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.
  • Maguette Kane – Director General of La Poste.
  • Bassirou Kebe – Director General of SN HLM.
  • Mouhamadou Moctar Magassouba – Managing Director of SICAP SA.
  • Serigne Mamadou Mboup – General Director of SAPCO SA.
  • Marie Rose Faye – Director General of ADEPME.
  • Yaye Khadidiatou Djamila Diallo – Director General of the National Agency for Early Childhood.
  • Tidiane Sidibe – Director General of ANAT.
  • Tidiane Sidibe – Director General of ANAI.
  • Sékouna Diatta – Director General of the Senegalese Agency for Reforestation.
  • Doctor Cheikh Dieng – Director General of ONAS.
  • Magatte Diakhate – Director of Legislation and International Cooperation.
  • Abdou Gning – Director of Estates.
  • Major General Martin Faye – Senior Commander of the National Gendarmerie and Director of Military Justice.
  • General Souleymane Kandé – Military Attaché to the Senegalese Embassy in New Delhi, India.
  • Monsieur Amady Diouf – Former Prosecutor of the Republic of Dakar and former First President of the Court of Appeal of Dakar, now assigned to the Central Administration of the Ministry of Justice.

Additional notable appointments include:

  • Oumar Maham Diallo – President of the Chamber at the Court of Appeal in Tambacounda.
  • Mamadou Seck – Advocate General at the Court of Appeal in Tambacounda.
  • Abdou Karim Diop – Advocate General at the Court of Appeal in Tambacounda.

These dynamic changes underscore President Faye and Prime Minister Sonko’s commitment to strengthening governance and efficiency in Senegal’s key institutions.
