Dynacor Group Inc. (TSX: DNG) is planning to construct a gold ore processing pilot plant in the Kedougou region of eastern Senegal, Africa. The proposed plant, with an initial capacity of 50 tm/d, will be used to produce gold from ore purchased from small artisanal miners. The company’s objective is to establish the financial and operational parameters for future commercial operations in West Africa.
To facilitate this project, Dynacor Group formed a wholly owned Senegalese subsidiary, Galam SA, in 2023. In 2024, Galam acquired a local company holding a mining concession over 50 hectares of land. This concession, along with government operating authorization, will serve as the construction site for the pilot plant.
Local small-scale mining companies in the region have expressed interest in supplying ore to the pilot plant. In line with its due diligence process, Dynacor Group has initiated an environmental impact study for the project, which is set to be completed by the end of the year. The company has also launched metallurgy and engineering studies to support the development of the plant.
Upon completion of the pilot plant, Dynacor Group will be better equipped to make investment decisions for larger commercial operations in the region. The company is committed to responsible and sustainable mining practices and will continue to work closely with local communities and government agencies in its operations
