The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the Black Queens will be attending a pre-tournament training camp in Senegal for nine days. The camp is part of their preparations for the upcoming TotalEnergies Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren will lead the team in high-intensity training sessions and two international friendly games during the camp, which will take place from April 1-9.
The first friendly will be held on April 5, followed by the second on April 8 against the Teranga Lioness of Senegal in Dakar. The team is expected to be announced for the tour soon, as the camp is a crucial part of their preparations.
This pre-tournament training camp in Senegal provides an opportunity for the Black Queens to fine-tune their skills and build team chemistry before the WAFCON competition begins. The Ghanaian team will be facing tough competition from other top African teams, and this training camp will give them a chance to prepare and strategize for success.
